Is Kate expecting a daughter? asks the Media. Possibly, says expert.

"Is Kate Middleton having a daughter?" asks the Time headline, in one of the biggest non-stories of the year so far.

The story came about after a 'slip of the tongue' Kate is said to have made while meeting the plebs of some town somewhere and collecting yet more bloody flowers.

One lady handed Kate a teddy bear. According to the lady, Kate said: 'Thank you, I will take that for my d...'. The lady thought she was about to say daughter, but stopped herself just in time.

The lady then said, 'did you say for your Daughter' to which Kate replied: 'No no no, I'm sure, I'm sure.'

Helpfully, Sky News has footage of the entire incident so we can make our own minds up. Kate actually says 'Oh is this for my? Thank you that's very very sweet of you.'

This proves that the lady was completely wrong.

But that didn't stop Sky News from hiring a body language expert to examine Kate's body language who said she displayed all the signs of denial to cover up her mistake.

This must be the first time a news channel has hired an expert to accuse the future Queen of being a complete liar.

Mediaballs suggests this as a alternative, more accurate, headline:

Kate possibly let it slip that she is having a daughter, but probably didn't, but she possibly is having a daughter.
